How Floor Locks Work
Floor locks are foot-operated devices designed to stop portable equipment from moving. They should be installed centrally between castors and selected so the lock clears the floor when retracted.
For best performance, choose a model with an extended height slightly greater than the overall height of the castors.
Recommended Setup
👉 Install the floor lock between the swivel castors at the push end of the trolley to ensure stable braking.
👉 Mount the lock to achieve roughly 8mm of lift — too much lift can cause instability, while too little may not immobilise the equipment effectively.
Why Choose an Ergonomic Floor Lock?
Modern ergonomic floor locks are engineered to reduce pinch points and harsh recoil often found in lower-quality imports, improving operator safety and long-term reliability.
